Tesla unveils all-electric children’s ‘Cyberquad’ — starting at $1,900

Elon Musk’s electric car company Tesla quietly unveiled its latest product — a $1,900 all-electric ATV for kids called the “Cyberquad.” The futuristic-looking ATV is available for order now on Tesla’s website, though they warn that it might not be delivered before the holidays. It will begin shipping in two to four weeks, the site says. “Inspired by our iconic Cybertruck design, the four-wheel ATV features a full steel frame, cushioned seat and adjustable suspension with rear disk braking and LED light bars,” the description reads.

Tesla said it can ship the product to customers in 48 states, but not to Alaska, Hawaii or Puerto Rico. And those who buy it will have to assemble it themselves, sticking to the product’s 22-page assembly guidelines. The machine is powered by a lithium-ion battery that provides up to 15 miles of range and can be set to a configurable top speed of 10 miles per hour, according to Tesla. The company says it’s suitable for kids eight years and older and has a maximum weight capacity of 150 pounds.

The unexpected new product appears to be a miniature version of the larger Cyberquad ATV that was announced two years ago along with Tesla’s Cybertruck. Neither the Cybertruck nor the Cyberquad have yet to ship to customers, though Musk vowed in a tweet earlier this week to give customers an update on Cybertruck production on the company’s next quarterly earnings call.
